Exploring a wide range of 6G topics, particularly the NextG Alliance 6G Vision, which includes six audacious goals, perspectives on societal and economic needs, 6G use cases, and 6G technologies. Addressing standards timelines and key considerations for 3GPP as well as the US National Spectrum Strategy (NSS) and recent developments from WRC-23. Discussing the committment to building a robust coalition of industry, academia, and government (known as public-private partnerships or PPPs) to advance a 6G vision for the next decade. Highlighting various PPP initiatives such as NSF Resilient and Intelligent 6G Systems (RINGS), NSF PAWR, NSF Spectrum-X program, and the recent NTIA’s NOFO-2 funding opportunity for Open RAN. These initiatives aim to accelerate research in areas with significant potential impact on emerging Next Generation (NextG) wireless and mobile communication.
